a little kindness goes a long way: extreme makeover reveal

Thanks to everyone who visited and left comments on our very first DTTD blog post :-) We’re going to work hard to make sure we deliver on all of our promises to you! And I think “kindness” is a good theme for our first makeover reveal…

If you’ve been reading JAX does design, you know that I recently participated in Extreme Makeover: Kindness Edition. This is the second year that I worked with a group of decorators (lead by Sonya Kinkade) to make over space for a charitable organization here in Ottawa as part of Kindness Week. This year’s makeover recipient was the Foster Farm Family House Homework Club. Here we are on the install day… see how hard decorators work? :-)

Thanks to everyone who donated their time, skills, money, labour, and products – you all helped to make The Homework Club a beautiful and inspiring environment for the kids who do their homework there. Please check out Sonya’s post about Extreme Makeover for the complete list of donors. Sonya forgot to include Posterjack.ca, so I’m sending out a big THANK YOU to Tim and his team :-)

  4. I love that you and these ladies are working hard and volunteering your time and efforts to make places like this (and your project last year) such warm and inviting spaces. And as your project last year, you outdid yourselves with this one as well. The kids must be so delighted with it.
